वे मानससरोवरमें निवास करनेवाले हंसरूपधारी महर्षि एक साथ उड़ते हुए बड़ी उतावलीके साथ कुरुकुलके वृद्धपितामह भीष्मका दर्शन करनेके लिये उस स्थानपर आये, जहाँ वे नरश्रेष्ठ बाणशय्यापर सो रहे थे ।।
sañjaya uvāca | te tu bhīṣmaṃ samāsādya ṛṣayo haṃsarūpiṇaḥ | apaśyañ charatalpasthaṃ bhīṣmaṃ kurukulodvaham ||
Sañjaya said: Those sages, assuming the form of swans, approached Bhīṣma and beheld him—Kuru lineage’s foremost bearer—lying upon his bed of arrows.
संजय उवाच
