क्षये तस्मिन् महारौद्रे निर्विशेषमजायत । ततः शल्य: कृपश्चैव चित्रसेनश्व भारत
kṣaye tasmin mahāraudre nirviśeṣam ajāyata | tataḥ śalyaḥ kṛpaś caiva citrasenaś ca bhārata ||
Sañjaya said: In that most dreadful phase of the battle, all distinctions were lost—no one could be singled out as superior or inferior amid the common ruin. Then, O Bharata, Śalya, Kṛpa, and Citrasena advanced, pressing the fight with renewed force.
