कुरुभि: सहित भीष्म युध्यमानं परंतप । अर्जुनं च सपाज्चाल्यं संशयो विजये5भवत्,शत्रुओंको संताप देनेवाले नरेश! एक ओरसे कौरवोंसहित भीष्म युद्ध कर रहे थे और दूसरी ओरसे पांचालदेशीय वीरोंके सहित अर्जुन उनका सामना कर रहे थे, यह देखकर सबके मनमें संशय हो गया कि किस पक्षकी विजय होगी
Transliteration
sañjaya uvāca | kurubhiḥ sahitaḥ bhīṣmaḥ yudhyamānaṃ parantapa | arjunaṃ ca sapāñcālyaṃ saṃśayo vijaye 'bhavat ||
Translation
Sanjaya said: O scorcher of foes, when Bhishma, supported by the Kurus, fought on one side, and Arjuna, together with the heroes of Panchala, confronted him on the other, a doubt arose in all minds as to which side would attain victory.
