द्रौपदी च सुभद्रा च याश्षाप्यन्याडददु: स्त्रिय: । ऊपषतुस्तत्र ते देव्यौ महाहशयनासने
draūpadī ca subhadrā ca yāś cāpy anyā dadur striyaḥ | upāviśaṁs tatra te devyau mahāśayanāsane ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Draupadī and Subhadrā, along with the other women as well, offered various gifts from their side. Thereafter, those two noble ladies took their seats there upon richly appointed couches—an image of royal decorum and generosity that supports the rite through respectful giving and proper hospitality.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic support of sacred and royal rites through generosity, respectful participation, and proper hospitality—ethical conduct expressed as giving and dignified comportment.
