Vaiśampāyana said: “O bull among the Bharatas, to enhance the splendour of the sacrifice, Bhīma—acting under the command of Dharmarāja (Yudhiṣṭhira)—had additional golden sacrificial posts (yūpas) erected.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even acts of grandeur in a royal sacrifice should proceed under dharmic authority and proper injunction: Bhīma’s power is shown as disciplined service to Dharmarāja’s command, aligning splendour with order and legitimacy.
During Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha, additional golden yūpas are set up to enhance the ritual’s magnificence; Bhīma arranges their erection specifically because Yudhiṣṭhira orders it.
