राजपूजाविधानम् / Royal Reception Protocols during Āśvamedha Preparations
संस्तरे कुशलाश्चापि सर्वकार्याणि याजका: । दिवसे दिवसे चक्रुर्यथाशास्त्रानुदर्शनात्,यज्ञकी वेदी बनानेमें निपुण याजकगण प्रतिदिन शास्त्रोक्त विधिके अनुसार सब कार्य सम्पन्न किया करते थे
saṃstare kuśalāś cāpi sarvakāryāṇi yājakāḥ | divase divase cakrur yathāśāstrānudarśanāt ||
Vaiśampāyana said: The officiating priests, skilled in setting out the sacrificial ground and its fittings, performed every rite day after day, strictly as the śāstras prescribe and guide. Thus the Aśvamedha, though royal, was upheld not by power alone, but by disciplined, lawful observance and fidelity to sacred procedure.
