Vaiśampāyana said: “O joy of the Kurus, whatever was formerly spoken by Kṛṣṇa—the heroic champion of the Vṛṣṇis—will indeed come to pass exactly so. Therefore, do not entertain any doubt or counter-thought in this matter.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse urges steadfast trust in Kṛṣṇa’s prior counsel: what has been rightly declared will unfold as stated, so one should not be shaken by doubt or over-deliberation when dharma-guided guidance has already been given.
In Vaiśampāyana’s narration, he reassures a Kuru prince (addressed as Kurunandana) that Kṛṣṇa’s earlier words are certain to be fulfilled, discouraging hesitation and reinforcing confidence in the course already indicated.
