मानुष्ये वर्तमाने तु कृपणं याचिता मया । न च ते जातसम्मोहा वचो<गृह्नन्त मे हितम्‌

Transliteration

mānuṣye vartamāne tu kṛpaṇaṃ yācitā mayā | na ca te jātasammoḥā vaco gṛhṇanti me hitam ||

Translation

“Since I am presently moving about in the human condition, I did not employ my divine power against the Kauravas; instead, I first begged humbly for a settlement. But they, having fallen into delusion, did not accept my words spoken for their welfare.”
