Adhyātma-Upadeśa
आशीर्युक्तानि कर्माणि कुर्वते ये त्वतन्द्रिता: । तेडस्मिल्लॉके प्रमोदन््ते जायमाना: पुन: पुन:,जो लोग सावधान होकर सकाम कर्मोका अनुष्ठान करते हैं, वे बार-बार इस लोकमें जन्म ग्रहण करके सुखी होते हैं
āśīr-yuktāni karmāṇi kurvate ye tv atandritāḥ | te 'smin loke pramodante jāyamānāḥ punaḥ punaḥ ||
Vāyu said: Those who, remaining vigilant and unslothful, perform desire-motivated rites accompanied by blessings and benedictory aims—such people repeatedly take birth in this very world and, again and again, experience enjoyment and satisfaction here.
वायुदेव उवाच
Desire-driven (sakāma) ritual action, even when performed carefully and properly, produces enjoyable worldly outcomes but keeps one within repeated birth in this world; it grants pleasure, not liberation.
Vāyudeva is speaking and explaining the consequence of a certain type of conduct: people who diligently perform benediction-oriented, fruit-seeking rites are said to be reborn repeatedly and to enjoy happiness in the worldly sphere.
