व्यक्त: सत्त्वगुणस्त्वेवं पुरुषोडव्यक्त इष्यते । एतद् विप्रा विजानीत हन्त भूयो ब्रवीमि व:
Translation
Brahmā instructed the ṛṣis: “Thus, the sattva-guṇa is held to be manifest (vyakta), while the Puruṣa is regarded as unmanifest (avyakta). O vipras, understand this truth; now I shall speak to you further.”
