राजा अविक्षित् मन, वाणी, क्रिया, इन्द्रियसंयम और मनोनिग्रहके द्वारा प्रजाजनोंका चित्त संतुष्ट किये रहते थे
rājā avikṣit manasā vācā kriyayā indriya-saṃyamena ca mano-nigraheṇa prajājanānāṃ cittaṃ santuṣṭaṃ kurvan nityaṃ tiṣṭhati sma
Vyāsa said: King Avikṣit continually kept the hearts of his subjects content, governing through a disciplined mind, truthful and measured speech, righteous action, restraint of the senses, and firm control of the inner self.
व्यास उवाच
A ruler’s legitimacy and success rest on self-mastery—discipline of mind, speech, and action, along with restraint of the senses—because such inner governance enables the ruler to keep the people’s hearts content and society stable.
Vyāsa describes the character and rule of King Avikṣit, emphasizing that he maintained the satisfaction of his subjects through personal discipline and ethical conduct, presenting him as an exemplar of rajadharma.
