Consolation of Yudhiṣṭhira; Rites and Gifts; Return to Hastināpura
सो<नुनीतो भगवता विष्टरश्रवसा स्वयम् | द्वैधायनेन कृष्णेन देवस्थानेन वा विभु:
so 'nunīto bhagavatā viṣṭaraśravasā svayam | dvaidhāyanena kṛṣṇena devasthānena vā vibhuḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Thus, the mighty king (Yudhiṣṭhira), having been personally instructed and consoled by the Blessed One of far-spreading fame (Śrī Kṛṣṇa), as well as by Kṛṣṇa Dvaipāyana (Vyāsa) and by Devasthāna, found steadiness of mind.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
After immense loss, dharmic recovery begins through right counsel: the ruler regains steadiness by listening to authoritative, compassionate instruction rather than remaining trapped in grief.
Vaiśampāyana reports that Yudhiṣṭhira is being guided and reassured by major figures—Śrī Kṛṣṇa, Vyāsa, and Devasthāna—setting the stage for his mind to settle and for governance aligned with dharma to resume.
