Vyāsa said: “O mighty-armed Yudhiṣṭhira, do exactly as the delight of the Kuru line (Dhṛtarāṣṭra) has spoken. That radiant elder Dhṛtarāṣṭra—fulfil his request without hesitation or second-guessing.”
व्यास उवाच
Honor the rightful wish of an elder—especially one seeking withdrawal from worldly life—by acting promptly and without needless suspicion; dharma here emphasizes respect, restraint, and facilitating renunciation.
Vyāsa instructs King Yudhiṣṭhira to grant and carry out Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s expressed decision (to go to the forest/enter a renunciant stage) exactly as stated, without delay or overthinking.
