Āśramāgamanam — The Pāṇḍavas Arrive at Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Hermitage
इति श्रीमहाभारते आश्रमवासिके पर्वणि पुत्रदर्शनपर्वणि भीष्मादिदर्शने द्वात्रिंशोड्थ्याय:
iti śrīmahābhārate āśramavāsike parvaṇi putradarśanaparvaṇi bhīṣmādidarśane dvātriṃśo 'dhyāyaḥ |
Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Āśramavāsika Parva, in the section called the Putradarśana-parvan, the thirty-second chapter—concerning the sight of Bhīṣma and others—comes to an end.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
As a colophon, the verse primarily signals completion rather than giving a new doctrinal instruction; ethically, it frames the narrative as a remembered, ordered transmission—highlighting continuity of dharma through careful preservation and recollection of the past.
The narrator marks that the thirty-second chapter of the Āśramavāsika Parva—within the Putradarśana section, focused on the vision of Bhīṣma and others—has concluded.
