अर्जुन–युधिष्ठिर–विदुर संवादः
Arjuna and Yudhiṣṭhira instruct Vidura on honoring Dhṛtarāṣṭra
स तै: परिवृतो राजा कथाभि: परिनन्द्य तान् अनुजज्ञे सशिष्यान् वै विधिवत् प्रतिपूज्य च
sa taiḥ parivṛto rājā kathābhiḥ parinandya tān anujajñe saśiṣyān vai vidhivat pratipūjya ca
Surrounded by them, King Dhṛtarāṣṭra gladdened the Brahmins with various courteous words; then, after duly honoring them along with their disciples, he formally granted them leave to depart.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic etiquette: even amid hardship and withdrawal from royal life, one should maintain respectful speech, proper hospitality, and due honor toward guests—especially learned Brahmins—before granting them leave.
Dhṛtarāṣṭra, surrounded by visiting Brahmins and their disciples, speaks in a way that pleases them, performs proper honors, and then formally permits them to depart.
