अर्जुन–युधिष्ठिर–विदुर संवादः
Arjuna and Yudhiṣṭhira instruct Vidura on honoring Dhṛtarāṣṭra
तेनासौ सहितो राजा ययी व्यासाश्रमं प्रति । तत्रैनं विधिवदू राजा प्रत्यगृह्नात् कुरूद्वह:
tenāsau sahito rājā yayī vyāsāśramaṁ prati | tatrainaṁ vidhivad ū rājā pratyagṛhṇāt kurūdvahaḥ ||
Accompanied by him, the king went toward Vyāsa’s hermitage. There, the foremost of the Kurus—King Dhṛtarāṣṭra—received him in due form, honoring the sage according to proper rites.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even kings and householders, especially in times of loss and transition, uphold dharma by honoring spiritual teachers and observing proper rites; reverence and disciplined conduct are presented as ethical anchors beyond political power.
The king, accompanied by another person, goes to Vyāsa’s hermitage; there Dhṛtarāṣṭra, praised as the foremost Kuru, formally receives and honors the sage according to prescribed custom.
