Vaiśampāyana said: When the night had passed and morning had come, King Dhṛtarāṣṭra, the son of Ambikā, sent Vidura to Yudhiṣṭhira’s residence. The scene signals the beginning of a morally charged request, where the blind king must rely on a righteous intermediary, and the household of dharma is approached through counsel rather than force.

Even in strained family and political circumstances, dharmic action proceeds through proper channels—seeking counsel, using a righteous mediator (Vidura), and approaching the rightful authority (Yudhiṣṭhira) with restraint rather than coercion.
After night ends and morning arrives, Dhṛtarāṣṭra dispatches Vidura to Yudhiṣṭhira’s residence, setting up the next events in which requests and tensions around resources and duty will be negotiated.
