अथ कृत्वोपहार्याणि चतुर्दश्यां महामति: । तमेव गणयन् शोक विरात्रे प्रत्यबुध्यत
Translation
Then the great-minded Nimi, on the fourteenth day, gathered together all the things fit to be offered for the śrāddha. Still counting only his grief for his son, he let the night pass; and when it was over, he rose at dawn (to perform the śrāddha on the new-moon day, Amāvāsyā).
