नियमानां फल राजन प्रत्यक्षमिह दृश्यते | नियमानां क्रतूनां च त्वयावाप्तमिदं फलम्,राजन! संसारमें नियमोंके पालनका फल तो प्रत्यक्ष देखा जाता है। तुमने भी यह नियमों और यज्ञोंका ही फल प्राप्त किया है
niyamānāṁ phala rājan pratyakṣam iha dṛśyate | niyamānāṁ kratūnāṁ ca tvayāvāptam idaṁ phalam, rājan ||
Bhishma said: “O king, the fruit of disciplined observances is seen here directly in this very world. Indeed, you have obtained this result, O king, as the outcome of your observances and your sacrificial rites.”
भीष्म उवाच
That disciplined observances (niyamas) and sacrificial duties (kratūs) yield tangible, visible results in this life; dharmic practice is not merely theoretical but produces evident outcomes.
Bhishma, instructing the king during the Anushasana Parva, points to the king’s own attained good fortune or success as proof that adherence to observances and sacrificial rites bears direct fruit.
