Merit and Destinations from the Gift of Cows

विधिवत पावकं हुत्वा ब्रह्मलोके नराधिप । नरेन्द्र! शिष्योंको वेद पढ़ानेवाला अध्यापक क्लेश सहन करनेके कारण अक्षय फलका भागी होता है। अग्निमें विधिपूर्वक हवन करके ब्राह्मण ब्रह्मलोकमें प्रतिष्ठित होता है ।।
Translation
Bhīṣma said: “O ruler of men, the teacher who instructs disciples in the Veda, because he endures the toil of teaching, becomes a sharer in an imperishable fruit. And the Brahmin who, in due rite, offers oblations into the sacred fire is established in Brahmaloka. Likewise, one who has studied the Vedas and then imparts them to disciples devoted to justice and right conduct also attains an exalted reward.”
