अन्नदान-प्रशंसा (Praise of the Gift of Food) | Annadāna-Praśaṃsā
इति श्रीमहा भारते अनुशासनपर्वणि दानधर्मपर्वणि एकोनषष्टितमो5ध्याय:
iti śrīmahābhārate anuśāsanaparvaṇi dānadharmaparvaṇi ekonaṣaṣṭitamo 'dhyāyaḥ
Thus ends the sixty-first chapter in the Dāna-dharma section of the Anuśāsana Parva of the revered Mahābhārata.
भीष्म उवाच
This line is a colophon rather than a teaching verse: it signals the completion of a chapter within the Dāna-dharma (charity ethics) section, framing the preceding discourse as authoritative instruction on righteous giving.
The text is closing a chapter of Bhīṣma’s instruction (to Yudhiṣṭhira in the broader Anuśāsana Parva context). The formula 'iti ... adhyāyaḥ' marks the end of the chapter and identifies its placement within the Mahābhārata’s internal divisions.
