Bhishma said: “Great sage, all this has come to pass through the favor of your grace. O venerable one whose valor stands upon truth, it is no wonder that such power is found in you—for ascetics like you, steadfast in satya, naturally possess extraordinary capability.”

Bhishma highlights that extraordinary outcomes arise through the grace of a spiritually accomplished person, and that such power is not ‘miraculous’ in a sensational sense but a natural fruit of tapas and steadfast truth. The ethical emphasis is on humility, gratitude, and recognizing spiritual merit as rooted in satya and discipline.
Bhishma addresses a great sage with reverence, attributing the successful unfolding of events to the sage’s gracious favor. He then remarks that it is unsurprising for a truth-steadfast ascetic to display such potency, thereby honoring the sage’s spiritual authority.
