Cyavana’s Yogic Display and Kuśika’s Recognition of Tapas (च्यवन-योगप्रभावः कुशिकस्य तपःप्रशंसा च)
कीर्तन श्रवर्णं दान॑ दर्शनं चापि पार्थिव | गवां प्रशस्यते वीर सर्वपापहरं शिवम्
kīrtanaśravaṇaṁ dānaṁ darśanaṁ cāpi pārthiva | gavāṁ praśasyate vīra sarvapāpaharaṁ śivam ||
O king, O hero, the scriptures highly praise these acts with regard to cows: chanting their names and virtues, listening to such praise, giving cows in charity, and even beholding them. All these are declared auspicious and capable of removing every sin, leading one toward the highest welfare.
