Bhishma said: “O Yudhishthira, hearing the great sage’s words, King Nahusha—worn down by sorrow—fell into deep distress. Then, together with his ministers and his family priest, he began to deliberate on what should be done.”
भीष्म उवाच
A ruler should receive a sage’s admonition with seriousness and respond through thoughtful deliberation and consultation with qualified advisors (ministers and priest), rather than acting rashly under the pressure of grief.
Bhishma narrates that after hearing a great sage’s words, King Nahusha becomes grief-stricken and then begins to consider the matter carefully, consulting his ministers and his purohita to decide the proper course.
