'फिर अपने दोनों नेत्रोंको उन्होंने उसके नेत्रोंकी ओर लगाया और अपने नेत्रोंकी किरणोंको उसके नेत्रोंकी किरणोंके साथ जोड़ दिया। फिर उसी मार्गसे आकाशमें प्रविष्ट होनेवाली वायुकी भाँति रुचिके शरीरमें प्रवेश किया” ।।
lakṣaṇaṁ lakṣaṇenaiva vadanaṁ vadanena ca | aviceṣṭan na tiṣṭhad vai chāyevāntarhito muniḥ ||
Bhishma said: “Matching sign with sign and mouth with mouth, he entered (the other) without any outward movement and remained perfectly still. In that moment the great sage, though present, appeared as if vanished—like a shadow.”
