अकल्कको हातर्कश्न ब्राह्मणो भरतर्षभ । संसर्गे भैक्ष्यवृत्तिश्न स राजन्‌ केतनक्षम:

Translation

Bhishma said: O best of the Bharatas, a Brahmin who is free from ostentation, does not indulge in futile disputation, is fit for proper association, and lives by alms gathered from house to house is worthy to receive an invitation.
