द्वारवत्यां समासीन पुरा मां कुरुनन्दन । प्रद्युम्न: परिपप्रच्छ ब्राह्म॒णैः परिकोपित:
Dvāravatyāṃ samāsīnaḥ purā māṃ Kurunandana | Pradyumnaḥ paripapraccha brāhmaṇaiḥ parikopitaḥ ||
Vāyu said: “O delight of the Kurus, once long ago, while I was staying in Dvāravatī, my son Pradyumna—angered because certain brāhmaṇas had provoked him—came to me and questioned me.”
