athāgamya mahārāja namaskṛtya ca kaśyapam | pṛthivī kāśyapī jajñe sutā tasya mahātmanaḥ ||
Then, O great king, she returned from the world of Brahmā and, having bowed in reverence to Kaśyapa, was born as the daughter of that great-souled sage. From that time she came to be known as Kāśyapī.

The verse highlights dharmic humility and proper relationship: even the Earth is portrayed as honouring a worthy sage through reverence (namaskāra) and accepting a rightful identity (as Kaśyapa’s daughter), suggesting that stability and legitimacy arise from respect for spiritual authority and cosmic order.
Arjuna narrates that the Earth returns, bows to the sage Kaśyapa, and becomes his daughter; consequently she receives the epithet ‘Kāśyapī,’ indicating her association with Kaśyapa.
