ऋषय : पितरो देवा महाभूतानि धातव: । जड़माजड़मं चेदं जगन्नारायणोद्धवम्,ऋषि, पितर, देवता, पञठ्च महाभूत, धातुएँ और स्थावर-जंगमात्मक सम्पूर्ण जगत्--ये सब नारायणसे ही उत्पन्न हुए हैं
ṛṣayaḥ pitaro devā mahābhūtāni dhātavaḥ | jaḍam ajaḍamaṃ cedaṃ jagan nārāyaṇodbhavam ||
Bhīṣma said: The seers, the ancestors, the gods, the great elements, and the constituent principles—indeed this entire universe, both insentient and sentient—has arisen from Nārāyaṇa.
