“O rich in austerity, this sacred instruction has been declared by me as a favor to you. I have spoken this holy greatness so that you—O best of the Yadus—may worship Śrī Kṛṣṇa with earnest effort.”
ईश्वर उवाच
Divine instruction is presented as an act of grace, and its ethical aim is to direct the listener toward sincere, effortful worship of Śrī Kṛṣṇa—treating devotion as a meritorious, purifying practice.
Īśvara addresses ascetic listeners (tapodhanāḥ), stating that he has revealed a sacred account of the Lord’s greatness specifically to inspire them to worship the foremost Yadu, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, with deliberate effort.
