Shloka 47

भीष्मस्योत्तरायणप्रतीक्षा तथा युधिष्ठिरागमनम् | Bhīṣma’s uttarāyaṇa moment and Yudhiṣṭhira’s arrival

दृष्ट: पश्येदहरह: संश्रित: प्रतिसंश्रयेत्‌ । अर्चितश्षार्चयेन्नित्यं स देवो द्विजसत्तमा:

Transliteration

dṛṣṭaḥ paśyed aharahaḥ saṁśritaḥ pratisaṁśrayet | arcitaś cārcayen nityaṁ sa devo dvijasattama ||

Translation

O best of twice-born, the Lord responds in kind to the devotee’s approach: one who beholds Him day after day is met by His gracious regard; one who takes refuge in Him finds the Lord taking refuge within that person’s heart; and one who worships Him is, in turn, ever honored by Him.
