भीष्मस्योत्तरायणप्रतीक्षा तथा युधिष्ठिरागमनम् | Bhīṣma’s uttarāyaṇa moment and Yudhiṣṭhira’s arrival
पृथिव्यामप्रतिहतो वीर्येण च भविष्यति । विक्रमेण च सम्पन्न: सर्वपार्थिवपार्थिव:,वे इस भूमण्डलमें अपने बल-पराक्रमद्वारा अजेय होंगे। विक्रमसे सम्पन्न तथा समस्त राजाओंके भी राजा होंगे
pṛthivyām apratihato vīryeṇa ca bhaviṣyati | vikrameṇa ca sampannaḥ sarvapārthivapārthivaḥ ||
The Lord said: “On this earth he shall be unconquerable by virtue of his strength. Endowed with valor, he will become the sovereign among kings—preeminent over all earthly rulers.”
ईश्वर उवाच
Legitimate sovereignty is portrayed as arising from proven strength and valor—an excellence that makes a ruler ‘unopposed’ and foremost among kings, implying the ethical ideal of capable leadership.
Īśvara speaks a boon-like prediction: the person being referred to will be unbeatable on earth through prowess and will attain supremacy over other rulers.
