Mahādeva said: “O Goddess, I have here described the auspicious fruits of action that set one upon the path to heaven. Now tell me—what more do you wish to hear in this matter?”
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच
Meritorious actions (śubha-karma) yield specific fruits and can orient a person toward the path to heaven; after explaining these results, the teacher invites the listener to inquire further, emphasizing guided learning and ethical causality (karma-phala).
Mahādeva addresses Devī, stating that he has already recounted the auspicious fruits of actions connected with attaining heaven, and then asks what additional topic she wishes to hear next—marking a transition point in their instructional dialogue.
