Educational Q&A

A dharmic assembly should entrust serious dialogue to a person who combines spiritual insight (devadarśana) with disciplined eloquence (vākyakovida), so that the response is truthful, appropriate, and beneficial.

After a prior exchange, the gathered sages collectively choose Nārada—famed for divine perception and mastery of speech—to speak in reply, effectively making him their representative in the conversation.
