ब्राह्मणपूजायां व्युष्टिः — Vyuṣṭi (Merit-Outcome) of Honoring Brāhmaṇas: Kṛṣṇa and Durvāsā
इस पृथ्वीपर जो भी चराचर प्राणी हैं, उनके पिता-माता, प्रभु और उत्पत्तिस्थान भी आप ही हैं ।।

Bhishma said: “All beings on this earth—moving and unmoving—have You alone as their father and mother, their sovereign, and even the very source from which they arise. Therefore, O Madhusudana, this astonishing event has thrown us into doubt. Only You, O auspicious one, are able to explain the emergence of fire. O Madhusudana, the manifestation of fire from Your mouth has appeared to us as something utterly wondrous; we have fallen into uncertainty. O blessed Sri Krishna, You alone can state its cause and thereby remove both our doubt and our amazement.”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse affirms Krishna’s cosmic sovereignty: all beings have their ultimate origin, governance, and support in the Divine. When extraordinary signs appear (here, fire manifesting), the proper response is to seek clarification from the highest source of truth, so that doubt and bewilderment are transformed into understanding.
Bhishma addresses Krishna with reverence, describing a wondrous manifestation—fire emerging from Krishna’s mouth—which has left the observers astonished and uncertain. He requests Krishna to explain the cause of this event and to dispel their doubt and amazement.
