ब्राह्मणपूजायां व्युष्टिः — Vyuṣṭi (Merit-Outcome) of Honoring Brāhmaṇas: Kṛṣṇa and Durvāsā

मृगैश्न विविधाकारैर्हाहाभूतमचेतनम्‌ । शिखरं तस्य शैलस्य मथितं दीनदर्शनम्‌

Bhishma said: Amid the cries of many beasts of varied forms—“Alas! Alas!”—the uproar spread on every side, as though the mountain’s senseless peak itself were wailing. Scorched by that radiance, the summit appeared utterly pitiable.
