Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
तमाह भगवान् रुद्र: साक्षात् तुष्टोडस्मि तेडनघ । ग्रन्थकूल्लोकविख्यातो भवितास्यजरामर:
tam āha bhagavān rudraḥ sākṣāt tuṣṭo ’smi te ’nagha | granthakṛl lokavikhyāto bhavitāsy ajarāmaraḥ ||
Then the blessed Lord Rudra appeared to him directly and said: “O sinless one, I am greatly pleased with you. You shall become a composer of a treatise renowned throughout the world, and you shall be ageless and deathless.”
