“These auspicious and meritorious duties have been set forth here together with their inner rationale. Whoever recites (or studies) them with mastery over the senses gains the complete fruit of those dharmas.”
स्कन्द उवाच
Dharma yields its full benefit when approached with self-restraint: studying or reciting righteous teachings—along with understanding their inner intent—brings the complete merit of those practices to a disciplined person.
Skanda concludes or summarizes an exposition of auspicious dharmas, stating a phalaśruti: the promised result that accrues to one who reads/recites these teachings with control of the senses.
