पितृभक्तस्तु यो विप्रो वरलब्धो महायशा: । परन्तु वे भी इस प्रकार पितृकार्यके रहस्यको निश्चित रूपसे नहीं जानते हैं। जो पिताके भक्त हैं और जिन महायशस्वी ब्राह्मणको वर प्राप्त हुआ है
Translation
Yet even those illustrious brāhmaṇas—devoted to the Pitṛs and blessed with boons—do not know with certainty the secret of these ancestral rites. None knows it, save the great-souled Mārkaṇḍeya, foremost among the long-lived.
