यानीहागमशास्त्राणि याश्न कश्षित्‌ प्रवृत्तय: । तानि वेदं पुरस्कृत्य प्रवृत्तानि यथाक्रमम्‌

“All the traditional scriptures and whatever modes of conduct exist here have come into practice in due sequence, with the Veda placed foremost.”
