Blessed indeed: the power of fate does not overcome you—this is the great favor of the gods. In this world, people praise most of all the man endowed with the highest virtues. It is good fortune that pride in beauty, age, and wealth has no sway over you. This is a mighty divine grace upon you; of that there is no doubt.
