व्यास उवाच क्षात्रं देवव्रतं कीट भूतानां परिपालनम् । क्षात्रं देवव्रतं ध्यायंस्ततो विप्रत्वमेष्यसि
Translation
Vyāsa said: “O you who were an insect in a former birth! The protection of living beings is a vow of the gods, and that indeed is the dharma of a kshatriya. By contemplating it and living by it, you will attain brahminhood in your next birth.”
