Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Anuśāsana Parva—specifically in the section on the dharma of giving (Dāna-dharma Parva)—the one-hundred-and-eleventh chapter, entitled “Saṃsāra-cakra” (“The Wheel of Worldly Existence”), comes to its close.
युधिछिर उवाच
This line functions as a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: it marks the completion of a chapter titled “Saṃsāra-cakra” within the Dāna-dharma section, implicitly framing the preceding instruction as guidance on charity and conduct in relation to the cycle of worldly existence.
The text is closing the chapter: it announces that the 111th chapter, called “Saṃsāra-cakra,” within the Anuśāsana Parva’s Dāna-dharma portion, has ended.
