Bṛhaspati–Yudhiṣṭhira Saṃvāda
नोदकक्लिन्नगात्रस्तु स्नात इत्यभिधीयते । स स्नातो यो दमस्नात: स बाह्याभ्यन्तर: शुचि:
Bhishma said: Merely wetting the body with water is not called bathing. True bathing is done by one who has plunged into the water of self-restraint—the control of mind and senses (dama). Such a person is held to be pure, outwardly and inwardly.
