पक्षे पक्षे गते राजन् यो5श्रीयाद् वर्षमेव तु
pakṣe pakṣe gate rājan yo 'śrīyād varṣam eva tu
Aṅgiras said: “O King, one whose prosperity diminishes with each passing fortnight—indeed, over the course of a year—should be understood as steadily declining through time.”
अंगियरा उवाच
The verse highlights how fortune and well-being can erode gradually over time; ethical vigilance and right conduct are implied as necessary to prevent a steady decline in prosperity.
