अद्यन्द्रं स्थापयिष्यामि पश्यतस्ते शतक्रतुम् । संचाल्य पापकर्माणमैन्द्रात् स्थानात् सुदुर्मतिम्
adyendraṁ sthāpayiṣyāmi paśyatas te śatakratum | sañcālya pāpakarmāṇam aindrāt sthānāt sudurmatim ||
Agastya said: “Today, before your very eyes, I shall reinstate Śatakratu (Indra). I will drive out that evil-doer, the wicked-minded one, from Indra’s own seat and set the rightful lord back upon the throne.”
अगस्त्य उवाच
The verse emphasizes restoration of rightful authority and the removal of corrupt, sinful rule: moral order (dharma) requires that an unworthy usurper be expelled and the legitimate holder of office be re-established.
Agastya declares that he will, in the listeners’ presence, expel a wicked-minded wrongdoer from Indra’s position and reinstall Indra (Śatakratu) on the divine throne.
