सात्यकि: सत्यसन्धश्न योडसौ वृष्णिकुलोद्वह: । पक्षात् स जज्ञे मरुतां देवानामरिमर्दन:,वृष्णिवंशका भार वहन करनेवाले जो सत्यप्रतिज्ञ शत्रुमर्दन सात्यकि थे, वे मरुत्- देवताओंके अंशसे उत्पन्न हुए थे
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Sātyakiḥ satyasaṅdhaś ca yo 'sau Vṛṣṇikulodvahaḥ | aṃśāt sa jajñe Marutāṃ devānām arimardanaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: That Sātyaki—true to his vows, a foremost bearer of the Vṛṣṇi lineage, and a crusher of foes—was born as a partial manifestation of the Marut deities.
