कि तत्र संविधातव्यं भवतां स्याद्धितं तु यत् । श्रेय:प्रसाधनं मन््ये कश्यपस्य महात्मन:,'ऐसी दशामें क्या करना चाहिये, जो तुम्हारे लिये हितकर हो। मुझे तो महात्मा कश्यपजीको प्रसन्न करनेमें ही अपना कल्याण जान पड़ता है
ki tatra saṁvidhātavyaṁ bhavatāṁ syāddhitaṁ tu yat | śreyaḥ-prasādhanaṁ manye kaśyapasya mahātmanaḥ ||
“What, then, should be done in this situation—what would truly be for your welfare? In my judgment, the surest path to well-being is to win the favor of the great-souled Kaśyapa.”
शेष उवाच
In moments of uncertainty, one should choose the course that is truly beneficial (hita) and leads to lasting welfare (śreyas); here, that is framed as respectfully seeking the goodwill of a venerable authority, Kaśyapa.
Śeṣa offers counsel about the proper response to a difficult situation, proposing that the best practical and ethical step is to propitiate and please the great sage Kaśyapa, implying that his favor will resolve or ease the crisis.
