ततस्तां क्षत्रियामपश्यत्, सा च दृष्ट्वैवोत्तड्कं प्रत्युत्थायाभिवाद्योवाच स्वागतं ते भगवन्नाज्ञापय कि करवाणीति,तब उन्हें क्षत्राणीका दर्शन हुआ। महारानी उत्तंकको देखते ही उठकर खड़ी हो गयीं और प्रणाम करके बोलीं--'भगवन्! आपका स्वागत है, आज्ञा दीजिये, मैं क्या सेवा करूँ?”
tatastāṁ kṣatriyām apaśyat, sā ca dṛṣṭvaivottadkam pratyutthāyābhivādyovāca—svāgataṁ te bhagavan, ājñāpaya kiṁ karavāṇīti.
Then he saw the kṣatriya lady. The moment she saw Uttanka, she rose to greet him, bowed respectfully, and said: “Welcome, venerable sir. Please command me—what shall I do in service?”
राम उवाच
The verse underscores dharma expressed as proper reception of a worthy guest: rising to greet, offering respectful salutation, and asking how one may serve. It models humility and readiness to act according to righteous social and spiritual etiquette.
Uttanka arrives and sees a noble kṣatriya lady. On seeing him, she immediately stands up, bows, welcomes him, and asks for his instruction—signaling formal honor and willingness to provide assistance.
