मन्दपाल उवाच किमर्थमावृता लोका ममैते तपसार्जिता: । कि मया न कृतं तत्र यस्यैतत् कर्मण: फलम्
Translation
Mandapāla said: “O gods! Why are these worlds—won by my austerities—veiled and barred to me? What righteous deed did I fail to do there, that the fruit of my actions should come to me in this form?”
